Community Empowerment
through Music

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

WorldWide Musicians United empowers local communities across the globe through music-centered projects and education.

On a spectrum from formal instruction to horizontal approaches—and larger regional projects to hyper-local activities in a small village—we recognize music as an incredibly powerful catalyst for engagement, expression, and community resilience.

Music-related activities play an impactful role in any development program. In schools, refugee camps, indigenous communities and beyond, we’re helping those we serve to acquire new knowledge and skills, while preserving and safeguarding their cultural legacies.

Program highlights and benefits:

  • Fostering youth development and leadership
  • Enhanced self-esteem, creativity, and overall quality of life
  • Providing a platform for marginalized communities to express themselves and be heard
  • Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Assistance with capacity building and organizational development of partner organizations
  • Music as an instrument for peace and reconciliation through a community-based approach
  • Improved educational outcomes; music education has been linked to better academic performance, particularly in subjects like math and science
